That Friday feeling

A great day...

The king came then had to leave almost straight away.
I found myself in the plaster room mold making, which I haven't done for a while.
Beer run, which I was stupidly over charged. Its difficult trying to a refund in England, its even harder in Denmark. Manc doesn't translate well so I resorted to the traditional talking loud, exaggerated pronunciation and pointing. But it was worth it, £1:50 for 10 bottle of the local brew...Aces!
Drank beer
Turned off some bowls
Got my chopper out...and cut some veg's for dinner
Ate a spoon (and by spoon I mean a crazy big ass spoon) full of melted chocolate...food baby!

Funny Russian story (we have a  Russain spy) edited version is...She was staying in a cabin out in mother Russia's wilderness, and some hunters came by and offered a trade, they wanted a bottle of Vodka for a quarter of there kill, which was a bear! I'm hoping it wasn't Mr Grylls?

Thursday...the third day

Still no king so was left up to my own devices. So I made a start on some throwing, warning up like normal by making cereal bowls.

We hit up the second hand store, sank a few beers, ate like royalty, then we had a talk by Danish ceramicist Nina Hole www.ninahole.com/

I want to see the king!

Easy street today as (King) Richard was off ill, it was the Danish machines first sick day in 7 years. For those who don't know The king is the studio manager at Guldagergaard and is a bad mother fucker. Hes like a Danish John Mclain who's also a master mold maker, he could cast the Nakatomi building along with Alen Rickman.

Took the newbies on tour round town, which doesnt take long...shop...bar...boat...and we're done

I have a few ton of wood waiting for me in the morning...and no, not the male sausage type

I see no ships

Wheres The Pearl...Yahhh!

The yank taking in the view

S.S.Studio!

The studio at Guldagergaard, seems strange this year as theres no snow and I can see the ground

Foot me!

Which to use?

What a beautiful mug shot!

Planes, trains and automobiles

For a change it was a fairly uneventful journey...no mountains, mines or cave trolls.

Stage 1: approx 20 min car journey from home to the airport courteous of old man Reid with mother brain riding shotgun

Stage 2: Not so Easy-jet Manchester to Copenhagen, extra leg room...don't mind if I do. Extra crazy turbulence...oh shit!

Stage 3: ... that's my train, god dam it Reid to slow. So a double train ride it was, airport to Copenhagen central and then to Slagelse.

Stage 4: Lonely bus to Skaelskor with only CCR as company

Stage 5: The Return of the Reid...10min wet power walk to Guldagergaard. Tea on the table, ah thank you!

Quite possibly the high point was a tramp asking me for cash in Danish, "sorry im English" to which he replies in English "would you like to support me, have you any coin"
Begging in two languages, such talent....?
