Your the best around...

Been wood firing for the passed couple of days. Packed the kiln and stacked/split the wood Friday morning and afternoon, then I started the firing at 8:00pm Friday evening after dinner.

Typically the temperature dropped to -3 so the night shift was very cold so we got a tramp bin blazing to keep us toasty. So by the end of my shift at 6am the kiln as at 1100ish degrees and going strong...

...I'm woken at about 12 noon by a panic stricken Russian. In 6 hours they actually lost over a 100 degrees by over stoking and blocking up the kiln...enter Reid! Just like me the kiln need raking out. I then kicked its ass with the help of my team. top temp 1337!

...Fire in the disco...

So its a lazy Sunday for me, but on a sad note Jill one of our artist in residence has left us to head back to the states this morning.

We wish her all the best and a safe journey home, you will be missed xxx
